    What age were you diagnosed Type 1?

    I was 27 when I was diagnosed as a type 1. That was forty years ago this year. My advice is to stay as active as you can. I have slightly reduced sensation in my big toes but otherwise no discernable diabetic damage. I play golf three times a week and ski for a week every year.

    Hi, I am a type 1 and an avid skier. I usually solo ski - not best for a diabetic but never had a problem. I hope to ski either wb 10/1 or 17/1.
