At the moment I’m on 11 units of basal and although the fast acting varies it’s around 15 to 20 units per day. Re you’re pump question, pumps use one insulin which can be given as and when needed. Ie drip fed as background or more over a period of time to cope with food.

I have no idea why there’s so many experts around. Lucky ******* will never know the sheer day in day out grind. Most of the time I’m accepting of my lot but every time I inject I hear a little sob in my head. Sigh. We just have to get on with it I guess. Big hugs. Edited for veiled language

I’m originally from Maine and have traveled back and forth to the US. I use any normal travel insurance - Staysure is quite good. Do not go without insurance! The US can be expensive if you fall ill without cover. Have a wonderful time!

I just received my order and it was just over three weeks from Abbott. Many folk are reporting faster service from local pharmacies and Asda has reportedly been charging slightly less than Abbott per sensor plus there’s no p&p of course.
