Fasting and after shower etc, I have been 4.5 to 5.8 for the last 29 days - real happy with this. Seems to be in the higher range if I eat fruit after dinner, in particular oranges.

It's winter in couple of days - temperature is still 26C today and overnight was 16C. We live in a wonderful climate. We still rug up and use a doona, sort of pretend but it does get cool for a few days every year. Heading up to Cooktown, almost at the Northern tip of Australia, for 2 weeks...

    Friendly fruit

I live in a sub-tropical climate and berries, except for strawberries, are very seasonal and expensive. On the other hand, Mango, banana, pineapple, oranges, mandarins, melons are all plentiful and relatively cheap and I have always eaten them. As a new type 2 (as result of steroid treatment)...

    Metformin

I have been on Metformin for 4 months and was always extremely tired, nausea, and dizziness. I took it upon myself to cut my dosage from 2 tablets a day to one in the morning and I have been off the extra tablet for over 8 days and feel a lot better. I have since informed my Dr. Has anyone...

    Best T2 breakfast

my problem is - where do you get the energy if you have extra light breakfast? If I go to the gym, obviously going to burn up lot of calories, a no or low carb breakfast is not the best thing, so it is bacon eggs or similar. Before I be came Ill, for 30 years I walked 50 - 60 mins per day...

Replacement for milk and Sweet cravings

How can anyone live in Singapore and not eat the beautiful tropical fruit - those little pineapples are so good. Where I live in Australia, my mango tree was just dropping fruit everwhere so had to relent and eat (quite) a few!. I was a very big fruit eater and find if I don't get my sugar...

What's the weather where you're at.

Living in a similar area, I remember those thunder claps coming out of a sunny sky. And, the dew falling inside on the red tiled floor when the humidity reached 100%. I'm going back 60 years. Where I live now, the humidity can get pretty high , in the 90's,. but it is only occasional . I...

What's the weather where you're at.

Looks like we missed most of it - poor people up north have lost houses and businesses - Cat 5 cyclone not to be taken lightly, luckily no one killed or badly injured but 1000's without power and cut off with flood waters

What's the weather where you're at.

Hi Doriand, I'm new type 2, brought about by a medical condition that requires me to take very large dose of Panafortelone (starting at 100mg per day, but now down to 37.5) and it has caused me to become diabetic. Finding it very hard at my age to change . The information I'm getting from...
