    Relative in denial of type 1

    My mother is actually just like this lady, and I'm afraid they won't change until THEY want to, so just leave them to it. They are fully aware of the risks, it's a decision they make!

    What was everyone's blood when they go diagnosed?

    If i remember correctly mine was around 54, i was taken into hospital and put on loads of insulin and fluids intravenously, for 36 hours. And i walked into the hospital ! And i didnt need my glasses either, it had corrected my eyesight, only whilst it was high though !
