    I love my Libre

Just been to clinic and my Libre was spot on with its prediction of my HBA1c. I've found that so long as I keep well hydrated it reads very similar to my accu chek meter, it tends to deviate at higher or lower readings. OK I've still got more work to do to bring it down to the level I'd really...

It's official I have coeliac too

Just heard from the GP that my duodenal biopsies are positive for coeliac disease. I know that this isn't the end of the world and loads of people have greater issues/problems than this but just been to the supermarket and have ended up feeling sorry for myself. Think I need a kick up the butt...

What would you do to have a few days without diabetes?

At the moment I would do anything not to have to test, adjust, be hypo, hyper, basically just have a few days where I could just be me. Not sure what I'd give up or do to achieve this. Wouldn't mind never eating chocolate ever again but couldn't give up my glass or two of wine a week. Sent...

    Gluten free flour

I'm a type 1 diabetic on a pump and my so who still lives with us is waiting for an endoscopy to see if he has coeliac disease. I've decided the easiest thing to do if the diagnosis is confirmed is only to use gluten free ingredients for cooking. However is the carb value for gluten free flour...

    Cellnovo

Just wondered if anyone has any experience of this system? Got just under a year with my accu check combo (which I love) and thought I'd see what else is out there now. I have been thinking of self funding a cgm, work shifts and think it will help the monitoring side of things. Does the cellnovo...

    lowest Hb1Ac since 1991

Just had my three month pump clinic appointment and my Hb1Ac is the lowest its been since 1991. Ok its still 7.8% but it was 9% in feb and had been higher than that at times. I know i've still got loads of work to do to reach perfection (is that possible with D!) but i am really chuffed. Just...
