    Gallstones

Hi Amber, I had my gallbladder removed years ago. If you are eating a lot of fat, you may find it aggravates your gallstones, if it turns out you have them. You'll have googled it, but I thnk what happens is gallbladder responds to fat by producing gall, the producing of gall aggravates...

    Stuck in the Non-Acceptance Cycle

Hi, if it helps at all, I found LivLife bread, 4 carbs a slice, really helpful as giving up bread seemed a big ask when I was diagnosed. Not very widely available though in Supermarkets. Waitrose often stock it. Finding alternatives rather than giving up too many things kind of helped me...

Hi from a type 2 in Scotland

Hi @hungryjoe, welcome. I was advised too not to test, but having read around, and found this forum, gave it a go. I think it helps motivate me, seeing impact of food/exercise on my blood sugar levels, but it's a personal decision. Certainly if you are interested in self testing, I'd give it...

    Hair Thining?

Hi, I read somewhere that rapid weight loss can cause at least short term hair loss, as it's all a bit of a shock to the system - that could be a reason why some newly diagnosed people report this, if seeking to control by diet/exercise/weight loss. Read too that nuts, esp Brazil's, good for...
