    I too find iit extremely difficult when the house is full of goodies I am not allowed, I would find it much easier if I lived alone. I constantly fall off the wagon, especially as I am not working and the temptation to eat constantly is overwhelming most days, just boredom but it does not help. Dave

    3 tablets a day, plus trying to control with diet but doc is not happy with results and mentioned I may need to go on insulin, tests next week will decide.

    Just had a call from my doctors receptionist to inform me that they only supply metres to T1 patients, ah well never mind I will have to make do with guesswork unless of course I developed T1.

    I have been told testing is not required by type 2 so I have not bothered, have been toying with the idea of testing but apparently I would have to fund this myself and at the moment financially that won't be possible Dave

    Just having a look at ordering a meter, it says we are offering two meter types - One reading in mmol/L and the other reading in mg/dL. You can select which meter type you want by selecting. What is the difference and what would you recomend I buy Thanks

    Never been offered one, but that seems to be the norm at our doctors, once they have made the diagnosis you are on your own. Dave EDIT: Just googled one of the courses DAFNE and it is for type 1 and I am type 2 so probably theses courses are not relevant to me
