    Can't be bothered anymore..

I have been diabetic for 17 years now, and I have had a few tough times too. A few months ago I was struggling, I would have random highs of 20 at lunch when j hadn't done anything to warrant it. I have an amazing diabetes care team, we worked together to realise it was my background insulin...

    Early morning exercise

That's what I would do, the only problem is if I have a hypo I spend more time treating and not working out as its only a 30minute class. I'd rather do something to prevent it and keep my sugar more level. Worked out for the best. Thanks [emoji5]️ x

    Early morning exercise

Mine normally goes higher after HIIT too, so I find it easier if I eat and have my insulin I don't get the massive spike after. 5.7 mmol before, had a 15g snack before and it's 10.0 mmol after! I'll take that as a success may have a slightly smaller snack next time, but may leave it as I don't...

    Early morning exercise

Thank you for your reply. I use insulin injections at the moment, but I'm hoping to go on a pump soon which I feel may be easier to control out of the ordinary things like early morning exercise because I could reduce my basal for an amount of time. Metafit is high intensity interval training...

    Early morning exercise

Hello, I am type one diabetic and there is an exercise class tomorrow at 6.30am. I do exercise early in the morning but it's usually a walk/ gentle jog which I feel ok having eaten just before. This is a metafit class so it's a lot more intense and I don't know how I will feel eating before...

    Prediabetes who's right?

That's exactly what I have, banana or strawberries and weetabix and my this keeps my sugar level, returning to pre breakfast sugar about 2 hours after. for me I can't have fruit and yoghurt because it causes a spike then crash! Think it's completely personal choice and knowing your own body.

"Best" things doctors have said to you

I have had a few over the years, but my personal favourite is My rather large dietitian who was far larger than me and wanted me to lose weight....? If she was nice about it I wouldn't have minded, but the way she spoke to me was out of order!

    Hypos and their symptoms. Type1

I have been type one diabetic for almost 16 years and I would say this is the second 'bad' hypo I have ever had. My sugar is normally very well controlled so please so t think this is a regular occurrence! It actually scared me a little! The past few days have got me thinking. I had quite...

    Need to talk to someone...

Hi aprilia Just to let you know, u can be as well controlled as u like, but when your hormones kick in it can completely change your sugars and it's not something u can help! Believe me! My sugar was perfect the rest of the time and would have been lower than 6.9% if my hormones hasn't made my...

    Need to talk to someone...

Hi, I'm so sorry u are feeling like this! I was in pretty much the same situation a few years ago. My partner and I wanted children, but I was told I had pcos. Long story short, I ended up getting pregnant, I was 22 at the time, ideally I would have liked to have waited a few years. I had to...
