It's all about your HBa1c result. When I was first diagnosed 4 1/2 years ago, they try to serve me discharge papers. I fought against it of course - at the time I was the fittest female within the regiment, receiving awards left right and centre for my achievements, how could they discharge...- Joanna87

Lee I was diagnosed T1 5yrs ago and still serving! I am downgraded to MLD, but that only (if ever) affects my deployability to certain places, occupational health decides on that. It's all about how tight/good your control is. There was a guy who is T1 that was discharged last year because...- Joanna87
