Type 2 - Now on insulin

Hi All, it’s been some time since I’ve been here! I’ve been type 2 for about 6 years now. Unfortunately I’ve had a bit of a nose dive recently and as such I’ve been taken off the tablets and I’m now on Abasaglar (12 units once a day) and Fiasp fast acting. Plus 1 glucophage tablet per day...

    Are tattoos safe?

Hi all, I am considering having a tattoo on my foot. I already have four which I had years before diagnosis of type 2diabetes. Is it safe for diabetics to have tattoos? My BG is not particularly under control and I'm having a few issues with it being too high which the doctor is aware of. I'm...

What do you eat for breakfast?

Berries and natural yoghurt sounds amazing! I need to try that. I'm struggling to keep carbs to a minimum which isnt helping me get my numbers down. I seem to eat chicken salad, tuna salad, cheese salad. Nothing but salad! It's driving me crazy. And as we're almost in autumn a sale just isn't...

    Linagliptin opinions

Hi queenie, thanks for the reply. I do a lot of driving with work (I'm a national business development mgr) and it does bother me that sometimes I'm driving up to 6 hours. I'm pushing for a prescription for testing strips despite the doc telling me that I don't need to test. It's costing me a...

    Feeling abandoned!

Thank you all for taking the time to reply. It's very much appreciated. I've cut out all chocolate and biscuits which has been the hardest transition so far as I have a mega sweet tooth! I think my lunch sandwich may be causing the problem. It's the only time of day I eat bread and I have...

    Feeling abandoned!

Hi all, I was diagnosed type 2 about 3 months ago now. I'm currently on Glucophage as metformin didn't agree with me at all! My post is to ask you all how often were you seen by the doctor? I'm feeling abandoned and unsure on things at the moment. I'm testing my blood now and then but my...

Thanks JJ, It may just be pure coincidence and hopefully it will pass. I also feel down, very tearful in fact. But those are the only two side effects I seem to have. Luckily no gastro problems.
