Hi all, I have been recently diagnosed with type 1, was taken to hospital with DKA on may 1st this year. Ever since waking up on intensive care had pins and needles in feet, was told it would die down but it has now progressed to pain and hotness. Dr gave me gabapentin 3 x daily to no avail, so...

I lost 2 stone over 3 month period, but was eating all the time......was diagnosed 3 weeks ago when rushed to hospital with keytoacidosis. [emoji5]️

I wake up in a pool too, bedding is wet through but I don't feel hot to touch just clammy!!! I will have to see what my consultant says and mention all the pointers that have been gratefully received. Thanks[emoji5]️

I will do, seeing consultant next week. That will be first time I have seen any one since being discharged on 8th may. Thanks again [emoji6]

Have checked levels and they fluctuate but more on the high end, very rare do my levels drop below 4. I hope to god it's not the menopause just yet!!!!!!! Thanks for quick response

Docs tested thyroid before they would discharge me, came back all clear. I am wondering if I am not on a high enough dose of insulin as my levels are still very unstable. Thanks for reply
