    LCHF diet story so far

Awesome, Well Done! I think doing LCHF has saved me from going on Insulin, it's taken 6 months to get my fasting level down from 22.5 to in the 7's. I'm on max dosage of Metformin, 2000mg and I think had i not kept my carb intake to around 70gr a day I'd be on other medication and/or insulin...

    What is the Hardest thing.

I can't handle nuts, love em but my body doesn't. i'm better eating a bit of chocolate than eating a few nuts. wierd how different things affect different folks. Gluten free flour is fine though so there is hope :)

    What is the Hardest thing.

Food is now a necessity rather than an indulgence :( finger pricking :( :( on the up side, i've not felt this good for years and i'll most likely live longer than i would have done with my old lifestyle.

Thank you to all on this site

My GP is pretty good, he gives the 'official advice' and then talks 'off the record'. I've seen him a few times in the last 3 months and we talk about what i'm doing and where I find my information. He complimented me today saying i've made the biggest and quickest turn around of any T2...

Blood levels - how long is a piece of string ;)

thanks folks, i guess i was just looking for reassurance, i'd seen some posts (LCHF forum) where people had gone from 20's to 8's in one or two weeks. I had a blip mid week and have identified the homemade cheese sauce my wife made as the culprit. Odd that homemade parselty sauce didn't have...
