    Blood spikes

On some foods I can spike quite high, i.e. from a 5 to a 10 but immediately drop down again to normal within 2 hours. Do you think this is too high and doing damage, or is the fact that I drop right down immediately again ok? I am type 2 diet and metapormin controlled. Thank you

    Reading labels in USA

Hi all, I am in Florida right now and am hoping someone can help me with reading the labels for carbs? They measure the carbs differently here, giving me carbs per portion rather than as a percentage (i.e. Grams in 100). They also give a percentage of your days carb count which is really high so...

Is it possible for something to have sugar and be low carb?

I have found that I now only focus on the carb content of foods when purchasing rather than the sugar- does this work? If something has a lot of cigar in would that always make it high carb? Thanks

Type 2 One or two hour testing after meals?

Please can I have some opinions on testing bgl? Should I test an hour or two hours after food? When I had gestational it was two hours, on diagnosis recently the Dr told me an hour, ( but I did two hours) so recently I have alarmed myself by testing an hour after and sometimes getting high...

Diabeties nurse, bullet proof protein and thank you.

It is my first apt. with my Diabeties Nurse today. I do hope she is in sympathy with the thinking I find on here rather than the 'healthy plate' which got me into this trouble in the first place. If I'd have known then what I know know and all that! Fingers crossed! I am finding all of you guys...
