My doctors reason for the addition of Statins to Metformin was that the TWO are treatments for type 2!!! Then told by the pharmacist that the dose was too high......... Not sure on this one, I get the impression different people follow different studies published in the Lancit!!!

Does anyone know why I am being told 2000mg of Metformin is now the maximum daily dosage? Last year I was told it was 3000mg per day and prescribed 2700 which worked great. Thanks

I attended DESMONDS last year and found it informative in Rochdale and found out a lot by asking probing questions around the material being delivered - sometimes with these things you get out what you put in as long as the people delivering are knowledgable which in my case she was.

First it tells me at an early stage if the recent change in medication is working. Second it tells me the effect of different types of food on my control. Third it motivates me to keep hitting the right numbers and gives me a focus on control.
