    Music....

Had to look it up. As much as a DnB junkie I am, I do like hearing recommendations from other people. ^^ See "Think Floyd" (the cover band) & Curved Air, both big in the 70's last month on recommendations from friends. Both were awesome!

    Music....

We all love it, so what is a track/tune you love. Here are a few of mine :- ^^ I'm aware this last one is an acquired taste, but it represents my generation ;)

    Star Wars vs Red Dwarf

Possibly the greatest thing my eyes have ever seen this year?

    Computer Passwords...

Might be NSFW for some people. Due to a few swear words.

I should he kept my face shut!

I might try that as I always do mine after I have eaten just to if there is any improvement.

I should he kept my face shut!

I have the same problem that sometimes (its hit & miss) I still have them days even with the slow release metformin that I'm on.

Hubby's joined me now and has other health issues

"So, we're both going to be having our 1st Diabetic Xmas this year!" got mine this year! Be interesting as I'm still at that phase where I'm not sure what I can eat, but I know 1 or 2 chocolates from the Roses/Quality Street tin is pushing the boat out.... might save it for booze to be honest!

When are you going to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens?

Watched it last night with my nephews, its kinda a tradition as I dragged them to see it as I took them to see the 1st ones all them years ago (Parts 1, 2 & 3). Not going to ruin anything but if you did like them parts you will enjoy it. Tho I do think the storyline is very, very similar...

Living with someone who is trying to cope with type 1

Define "normal"? Your husband has to understand that this year is not going to be booze, chocolate, booze, a full on dinner, more chocolate & loads more booze on top! So long as he takes that day in moderation he will be fine. I hope this helps, but tell him that this will be my 1st xmas being...

    Type 2 Metformin.

I have been moved on to the slow release ones, but I still have bad "bum gravy" (as I call it) problems every now & then. Take it this is to be expected? I'm not as bad was when I was on the normal ones as it was constant & I can now go days with out any problems.

    Testing Strips....

I did tell them I was not working & it made zero difference. I just test myself once a week now until I find work. Pain I know but its the only way I can do it.

    Cuts on the feet.

One of my ingrowing toe nails has made a cut on one of my feet. What should I realistically be doing? Before the diabetes diagnostic I would have left it & I know it will heal as its cut there before a few years back. But now I'm kind of confused as I have heard the stories about people that...

    Testing Strips....

I put in a request for some more test strips for my meter & was told that they only allocate 1 pot per year, I will have to purchase my own from now on. Being unemployed the £17.50 is quite a hefty chunk of my dole money. Is that just for our local area or something for anyone who lives in England?

    Not doing too good

I had the same issue with "Bum Gravy" for a while. It will take a while for your body to get used to metformin & I did find that its worse when I have been out for a beer. The next day its almost like a tap. You should not stop taking them & speak with your Doctor as CatLadyNZ said.

    Type 2 HbA1c....

Sorry if this sounds like a skool boy asking questions, but due to being recently told I was Type 2 I still seem to have loads of questions. I am so sorry if I am asking questions that have been answered before...... My last check up I was told my HbA1c was 90 & I need to get this down. I was...

    Diagnosed last week.....

Thanks for the reply. My old man has had it for years & he eats loads of stuff that is on the "NHS Avoid Eating" sheet, but he is doing about a trillion pills a day. I'm pretty sure his wife is trying to bump him off with the wrong foods to be honest. So I'm not taking what he says as words...

    Diagnosed last week.....

Hi All Got told last week I was Type 2 & needed to get my blood sugar levels down. Was 20.8 then & I have now currently got it to 13 with some basic diet changes & cutting out booze. I need to get it between 4 - 8, but there seems to be a lot of confusing/miss information out there on what you...
