    Forgetting if I took insulin?

I put a day's worth of pentips in a prominent place, so every time I walk past I can see how far I've got through the day.

    Type 2 Cataract surgery

Long-distance vision has been brilliant since the operations, but I now need glasses to read my insulin pen....

    Dodgy insulin pens

The consensus seems to be that pre-filled pens are less robust than pens that are refilled with cartridges. Given that the pre-filled pens are surely more expensive over any period of time, what are their advantages? Why do people use them?

    Security clearance for diabetics?

The snag is that, because I'm between jobs, I don't have either. And I've no contractual relationship with the sponsor (who just runs the site, and wouldn't be my employer anyway - my prospective employer isn't amused either). I'm not sure how far employment law extends to national security...

This is said to be for national security reasons and nothing to do with health and safety. It shouldn't affect the job I'm doing, except that...

How did you feel about switching onto injections?

I wasn't warned that my weight might increase, which it did, fairly abruptly, by several stone. Furthermore, I'd been losing weight gently for a couple of years, and had just got down to a weight I was happy with. So my illusion that this was due to my innate virtue and healthy lifestyle was...

How did you feel about switching onto injections?

I had the same experience, and of course once I started it was fine. It's a pity no-one had explained earlier what injections entailed, as I should have started a year or so earlier than I did.
