    I have been on metformin for over 10 years and have often wondered about the effectiveness of it. Having just been to the loo for the fourth time today, I would love to stop takinv it but, too scared as to whay might happen. Im 70 years of age and wish I had the courage of a 40 year old.

    ), HI Liam. Not too sure how I did it but cut out bread completely, halved potatoes and that's it. I don't eat rice or pasta anyway but still eat a small cake at teatime! and crisps at weekend. Very odd.
