I'm glad I read this post coz last nite re started s/r metformin & this morning my b/g was really high this am up to 12.3 normally around 8 or 9 :banghead:

after 23 yrs they have realised my notes say 2 different things one part of my notes say I'm type 1 another part says I'm type 2 so had blood tests done yesterday I know i'.m type 1 but because 3 other members also have or had type `1 they want to differ .:banghead: :banghead:

had my d appointment this am after 23yrs of type 1 I have finally excepted my condition have taken my hba1 down from 11.3 to 7.1 . they have also put me on metrormin so I can reduce background insulin . wot a day also had blood test today to see if I'm type 1 or type 2 as my notes at hospital...

I have both d/c & ledderhose disease . my hands are lumpy & I have a trigger finger . my feet are also lumpy so I feel like I am walking on marbles . add a frozen shoulder to that 2 . oh well never mind u gotta laugh or in my case crack

now I see where the connection with diabetes & going blind comes from :D both have the same effect

yeah when I did the starlight walking marathon I checked my b/g at every pit-stop and just snacked accordingly finished in 7hr25mins

nothing like blood going in 3 different directions , the amount of times I've redecorated my living room where it's coming out of several holes :)

skips only have 10gms of carbs so I find them a great snack .

hi jess when I was diagnosed it was very early on in my diabetic journey Drs thought I could be type 2 only after around a year it was decided that I had type 1 . both my mum & sister were type 1 so family history repeated it's self . about ur appointment just take a deep breath walk in...
