    Thrush

Hello all. I just had a nasty dose of Thrush and was prescribed Fluconazole. My BS shot up a couple of days afterwards and I wondered if anyone else had experience of this.

    Liver problems

Hello all. I've got problems with my liver at the moment possibly from a nasty virus or a recent course of antibiotics. I had a blood test to check HbA1c and its gone from 50 to 55 in 6 months with no real change in diet. Could this relate to liver problems? Has anyone else been here?

    colonoscopy

Just a bit of a moan. I usually eat a medium to low carb diet which works well for me. I am having a colonoscopy next Monday and finding the low residue diet difficult as I'm hungry. I don't want to add in white bread, rice and pasta even for that short time as having weaned myself right off...

    Annual review

Hope you don't mind but I need to rant a bit. At yesterday's annual review with a diabetic nurse I came out really irritated and angry. She refused to accept that a lichen sclerosis flare-up was not caused by dapagliflozin so wants me to stop it. My HbA1c is 50 but she says that anything under...

    Victoza side effects?

After 10 months of trying Trulicity, (allergic reaction on injection sites), Ozempic, (a bout of Vertigo) then Victoza I finally had a face-to-face appointment with the diabetes sister at the surgery for my annual review. In spite of an HbA1c of 44, the lowest I've ever been, we decided that I...

Type 2 Help please. Need to sound off.

Hello everyone. I'm feeling in a bit of a muddle. I happened to mention last year to an endocrinology consultant that the low carb diet didn't seem to be working still and I'd put on a bit of weight. The result was a phone call from the diabetes nurse who put me on Trulicity. This was fine for...

    Changing medication

Good morning all. I have recently been changed from Saxagliptin to a weekly injection of Dulaglutide. The package information gives feeling sick as one of the side effects. I wondered if anyone else has had the same problem and how long it took to settle down. I've had three injections now and...

    Changing medication

Good morning everyone. It has been suggested that I change from taking Saxagliptin to Trulicity (Dulaglutide). Does anyone have any experience of this which they could share please? Is it effective? Have you had side effects? I'd be really grateful to be forearmed with questions. Many thanks.

    Type 2 Pulse rate increase

Hello everyone. There is so much good advice on here I thought I'd check for some. I am 66 with Type 2. I am fairly active and usually have a resting heart rate between 60 and 65 but at the moment it's around 80 to 85. I also feel a little as you do when you're frightened. Would anyone be...

    Vitamin b12 low

Hello everyone. I know there's been some discussion of B12 but I'm interested in other people's experiences. In December I had a sore mouth and saw one doctor who gave me a mouthwash which seemed to more or less clear it but as soon as I stopped, it came back even more. A second visit to another...

    Nails?

Good morning. I don't know if this Diabetes related or low carb related. I have had red bands across the tops of my nails for ages but in the past week the section between the line and the top of the nail has migrated into the red section in some cases giving less than half the nail still...

    Low carb not working

Hello. I'm new to this forum so please bear with me. I've been managing type 2 for 23 years gradually going from diet only to an increasing pill regime, metformin, gliclazide and saxagliptin. My last HBA1C was 8.2 in August and I've been trying to get it down before the 6 month check (last...
