I had my usual berries and yoghurt for breakfast but then I made the French Onion soup from the low carb cookbook for lunch. I only chose it because I didn’t have much in the way of veg in the cupboard- but it was delicious!

I thought I should probably update this again. I am now down to 90.5 Kg - from133.5 at my heaviest. I mainly feel fine on the semaglutide now (although I was sick again this week but I knew I had overeaten). I am trying to get down to 80 Kg to take me out of the obese category.

I am T2 female 59. I have recently reduced my HbA1C from 75 to 42. I am also reducing my insulin dose. However, I am getting high readings last thing at night (11-12) and I would like to bring these back down. Could I change my dosage time from bedtime to before tea? I am on Humulin I kwikpen.

I have now had my HbA1C results back and I have reduced from 75 in September to 42. Very pleased with myself. I have now had one worrying incident of vomiting and diarrhoea. I felt ghastly but I simply didn’t take the injection that week and I seemed to get over it.

A bit of nausea and lots of indigestion but no vomiting. I did have one instance of diarrhoea but I had probably just eaten too much that day.

Yes I can understand that. I am not feeling much enjoyment of food myself and I was wondering what happens in the long term- if I get my HBA1C down enough will I be able to come off this medication?

That I certainly know. I have tried (and failed) so often. I’m going to look at the 8 week blood sugar diet.

Thanks very much for all the advice on here. I need to lose the weight somehow. I will look at the other diet suggestions but I may try the slim fast if they do not work.

Has anyone tried slim fast meal replacement. They claim to have no added sugar but a serving has 15.5g of sugar. I’m a type 2 insulin dependent diabetic with a long standing weight problem and I’m looking for a different kind of weight loss problem.
