When it's on my backside I always forget and end up ripping it out. Thanks for the idea and again I'm really pleased the pumps...

I'm not familiar with the Animas Pump but I also have that problem with my Omnipod Pump. Sometimes a small lump forms under the skin and the insulin flow is comprised. When I used to inject I always did it in the same place because it didnt seem to hurt as much but big lumps formed which i still...

Well actually now he's older he doesn't listen to me at all. It's very hard to get through to him the complications that can happen if he doesn't look after it. I'm suffering the complications and he sees that but it's still not enough for him to keep well. I do understand him though as I've...

Yes that is good idea maybe he won't feel alone. Sometimes I think because I'm the only diabetic he knows he just thinks he will end up like me so what's the point. Hi 4ratbags hope you are well and thank you for your welcome. To be honest I grew up thinking the only complications of diabetes were amputations and blindness. I only found out about Autonomic Neuropathy when I got diagnosed three years ago. It's when the vagus nerve (second largest nerve in...

    Neuropathic pain

I have taken neurontin also known as gabapentin for ten years now and works a treat. It's an anti epileptic drug but works on nerve pain too. It's so good, I'm on the highest dose but I know others who find just a low dose a relief.
