Archie only ever went to the groomers once and 'sang' the entire time.... they did him quickly and rang us to come collect him early because they were both getting headaches. Actually.... he did the same thing at the Vet's when he came round from being neutered - we could hear him serenading...

During the last lockdown my neighbour taught herself to cut, style and colour her own hair and made such a good job of it that she carried on doing it and she says she's saving more than £100 a month. The only downside is that she used to find her weekly trip to the hairdressers very relaxing...

No problem with that, I've cut his hair (with clippers) for 25+ years - and for the last 10 years he's trimmed mine (with scissors). Clippers are easy... but I did used to use scissors to cut my daughter's hair (blunt cut long and straight). Nothing complicated though.

He didn't seem to mind at the time. All three dogs like being groomed, thank goodness. He seems to realise that he's being laughed at though and doesn't like that - which makes me think he's possibly more intelligent than he looks. I tried ringing round for a groomer to even it up a bit but...

Have you been asked to buy your own Blood Pressure Monitor?

Yes, I have (at last year's review) but luckily I already had one.

This is what happened when Kevin watched a tv programme about dog grooming and thought that what a skilled professional does looks easy. Poor Archie.

Good afternoon everyone. :) Kevin says I'm picky about what I eat and (especially) drink. I don't think I am picky once you get over the no meat and nothing beige issues... and the restricting to 800 calories and keeping fairly low carb... oh, and not liking sweeteners... AND I have...

I think low calorie is not much of a problem because I'm so sedentary. I'm intending to stay on it until my birthday in June or I reach my personal fat threshold - whichever comes first. And then work out a WOE that keeps me there. I do feel a bit like i manipulated my Hba1c.

Good morning all :) May I join the 'oops I did it again' club? I completely intended to re-start my 800 calorie a day diet but life got in the way so I'm starting again from today. Wine doesn't seem to be my problem area any more... my problem is definitely medjool dates! My subconscious...

Funny... it was Kevin's birthday in mid December that persuaded me to have a glass or two of red and OMG I was so badly with it. I woke up in bed the following morning with absolutely no memory of the previous evening from after the first glass of wine. I knew something was badly wrong...

@Annb Have you got in touch with your doctor yet? You can't continue like you are, you really do need medical attention. @ianpspurs - opened wine boxes are supposed to be okay for up to three weeks - I've no idea about vacuum sealed wine. I don't often get leftover wine but when i do i freeze...

Oooh - meant to ask to those that have both instant pots and air fryers - which one gets the most use in your house and if you had to be without one of them which would you keep and why?

Yes, but had time off for good behaviour over Christmas and another three days this weekend. Its actually reasonably easy for me to eat very low calorie because (due to various annoying reasons) I'm very sedentary. The weight loss has slowed down to 1-2lbs a week and I'm comfortable with that...
