I was on metformin 4 per day for months. My stomach problem had never stopped. My new doc prescribed Glumetza and gave me a manufacturer coupon so i didn't have to pay. My stomach problem stopped that very day when i started Glumetza. Glumetza is the brand name of metformin. Hope this helps.

Dried fruit is worse than fresh fruit for it's high sugar content. The label should reveal that info.

I just started it 2 days ago. It is is replace Lantus insulin. So far my glucose is super high. Not sure how long will it take to work. I experienced very bad hyperglycaemia. I am also on Glumatza metformin 1000 mg a day. What is your experience?

Use stevia, a natural plant, instead of sugar. There is a soft drink called Zevia. It's made of stevia.

Is anyone on it? My doc told me it's a very new med for diabetes. I switched to this one from injecting insulin. I hope this is a good choice.
