Tresiba and eczema? Or as a complication of diabetes?

Hi all, I have had nasty eczema on my hands for two years, it lets up a bit now and again but doesn't go away. I have tried creams, hydrocortisone, wearing cream and gloves all night to no avail. My fingers crack at the tips. I changed my dish detergent, use rubber gloves in water etc. The...

Type 2 Thailand-are diabetes drugs OK?

Just to add to bamba's reply, keep the meds in their original containers, I would have half in my hand luggage and half in my checked luggage just in case you loose one or the other.

When is the best time to take Metformin

I am wondering if there is an optimal time to take Metformin. I'm also on Glicazide. Should I take it before a meal, after or during. I get liver dumps in the early hours of the morning and am wondering if I should take Metformin at bedtime. My pharmacist said it didn't matter when, but...

    Type 2 Sugar

Hi Debbie- years ago I went from 2 teaspoons of sugar in my coffee and tea to nothing. However, I gradually reduced the amount a little each day for about 10 days until I was at zero. Now I HATE the taste of sugar in my beverages. You can DO it!

    Food ideas

I was just thinking the same thing and found a series of threads right at the bottom of the forum list. Hopefully we can get some ideas for new things to eat, though 'same old, same old' has its merits too! I go along good, then I fall off the wagon because I've run out of ideas...

    I made cheese!!

Yes, I have made ricotta and I have a recipe for paneer which I haven't yet tried. It's surprisingly easy and wonderful to know there are no 'hidden' ingredients.

Type 2 Thinning hair...could blood sugar be the reason?

Not super high, but A1Cs around 7. Since I've found this site, I'm getting better at reigning them in. Are you saying you reversed some of your hairloss? Thanks for answering!

Type 2 Thinning hair...could blood sugar be the reason?

I'm 63 and female and for about the last 5 years, or since I've been diagnosed, I find my hair is thinning at the top. It's getting quite noticable and my doctor has run thyroid tests and they're fine. Does anyone here (females I guess) have the same problem and has it improved as your blood...

Blood Sugar Spikes - What sort of ill?

Hi Fran on the edge. I feel ill when my sugar is too high. The kind of feeling that makes you say "WHY did I eat that?" Kind of sick to the stomach. I didn't realize a person could feel hot when sugars are high, that's new info for me. Good luck- I think keeping a food diary and...

    Ignorant newbie

Hi SweetSue, I am new here as well, and one thing I have learned from the reading I've done here is to eat snacks frequently, so your nurse is right. I thought the less I ate, the less my blood sugar could rise, but it turns out your liver will raise your blood sugar due to lack of eating...

Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

The past few mornings it's been as high as 10, type 2 diabetic. It always gets higher overnight and I've tried a bedtime snack, no bedtime snack, an evening walk etc. It used to be around 9 in the mornings when I was working.... I guess retirement is a lot more sedentary.
