    Fast meals

Yes, the OP has shown for a very long time he is more than capable of using Google to add fairly obscure links. So Google would be preferable as the current topic is out of the realm of diabetes related issues. Gree..Carbolysis, Google is your friend

    NHS prescription charges penalty notice

Most definitely Duncan, myself included. I chose not to take medication on diagnosis, and only took one Metformin starting a couple years back, after treatment for something else. According to my GP, I'm no longer diabetic, my A1C has been in normal range for so long.

    Itchy bottom (sorry!)

I think Mr Pot might have hit the nail on the head. Threadworms (sometimes called pinworms) are harmless but intensely irritating, and very common amongst primary age kids, Graphic warning ⚠️ They come out at night to lay their eggs just outside the anus, child scratches bum, eggs under...

How do blood glucose meters work?

I'm quite happy to suggest Google! If you can ask a ton of non diabetes related questions here (then rubbish the answers as you normally do), you can ask Google instead! It is your friend after all:D

    Health anxiety

Kev, I know a fair bit about HA. Have you tried to get any help for it? If you have it badly you know that "demands" for unnecessary tests will fuel your HA, and keep you in the reassurance loop. There are resources out there, CBT, there's also a book called DARE by Barry something-or-other...

    Diabetes is not a Disease

You sound totally fed up. Depression can hit anybody, but I must echo what others have said - and please stop making blanket judgements. There ARE slim type 2's, there are people who have developed type 2 due to another condition, my daughter is one of the latter. She has a rare syndrome, plus...

    I'm cured! (Apparently..)

Well folks, its official. I no longer have diabetes, not even pre-diabetes, according to my gp, now make of that what you will. He's a decent guy, but we had a disagreement over this, as he suddenly stopped my metformin two weeks ago. I saw him to check why it had suddenly disappeared off my...

    So which is it then

I have a codefree that I rarely use now. Did a test the other day and nearly went into complete meltdown after reading 25.5. I tried again after hand washing, 25.4 - horrified by this point. I then had a brainwave and asked adult non diabetic daughter to "volunteer" her finger for testing -...

    Sleep apnoea

Go and discuss it with your doctor. A sleep study can be done, and if you have apnoea, you can be treated with CPAP.

    Bronchitis relief

We can't tell you what treatment you need. Antibiotics are the probable course of treatment - and I don't think they come under defensive medicine. Go to your GP if you're ill.
