    Type 2 T2 not in control.

    I am taking 4 Sukkarto a day, 2 in the am 2 in the pm, I’m on a LCHF diet, but cannot get my blood sugars below 9.5, I took the Sukkarto for 4 months without the diet and my readings were all over 15mmol, I’m thinking I may not be T2, what does the forum think?

    Metformin and LCHF diet

    I am taking 2000mg of slow release metformin after my evening meal, I am eating less than 30 grams of carbs a day, I have been doing this for over a month, should I be able to get a blood glucose reading below 8.5 mmol?

    Type 2 HBA1C day.

    Had my blood test today, I know it’s high, not measuring below 9.8 m/mol, started metformin in December, changed to slow realise at New Year, 1000 mg with evening meal, still above 10 m/ mol . Had last 3 weeks low carb diet, Could I have something different to type 2?

    Good News (for a change).

    Had the results of my last HBA1C today. Drum roll please 47, Top end of pre diabetic but down from 74 in Feb and 68 in May. I would like to thank all of you that supported me when i was "Having a Wobble". Now to carry on the hard work and see if i can get the next one below 42.

    At what point are high blood sugars going to start doing damage? If i keep my readings between 7 and 9 mmol without medication, what are my chances of living a normal a live as possible? or am i guaranteed to have problems in the future?
