    Long distance running and Type 1

    get your bloods above 9 before setting out. i usually aim for between 10-12. if i go running for 30 minutes i'll take 5 glucose tablets. maybe be an idea to keep an eye on your heart rate too. dont forget and reduce your insulin at meal before run and wait at least an hour and half after meal to...

    High levels in the evening - any advice?

    check your bloods every 15 minutes after dinner. annoying-yes but will give you an idea of what exactly is going on after your dinner and insulin. then adjust from there.

    Funny feeling in my toe

    had something similar. lost feeling in tip of big toe on my wedding day (2 weeks of breaking in wedding shoes wasn't enough obviously). doctor prescribed asprin which seemed to do the trick. let your doc know but wouldn't worry, feeling gradually came back and now its as good as new

    always happens. if theres no blood after third go I usually try finger tip rather than side. has worked 100% of time!!
