    Change of blood testing meter

    My GP practice has decided to issue patients who test their blood sugar with a new meter as the old meter apparently uses more expensive strips. I collected my new meter yesterday and I don`t think I`ll be using it very often. It is much more flimsy than my old one, the strips bend very easily...

    Hay fever

    Confused !!

    I have just tested my BS on my Contour Next meter and it read 12.1 , thinking this a bit high for me I tested again on my normal Contour meter and it read 8.9, just to make sure (!!) I tested again on my spare Contour meter it was 8.5. I did another one on the Contour Next and it was 5.2 ...

    Nail varnish

    Bubbles

    Recently I have noticed bubbles in some of my Levemir vials. I have discarded them and put in a new one. Does anyone know if its safe to use insulin with bubbles in it ? I erred on the safe side.
