Been a while since I posted on here . Not been too well lately , when I was first diagnosed my grumpy old GP was one who didn’t think T2 should test . I have been seeing a different lovely GP for a few weeks and she has put testing strips on my prescription. She’s an excellent doctor.

Happy Anniversary to me - a year since I became officially diabetic. Been a few ups and downs but I certainly have more ups . Feel quite well in myself now in fact most people seem to have forgotten I’m diabetic. Life is good .

Just had my check up and really pleased . My Hba1c is 60 much improved from the 98 a year ago ! Feel quite well most of the time too only one blip have put on 2lb oops . No appointment now for 6 months yippee .

Visiting my gp last week for being unwell .. explained what was wrong so he started printing off a prescription. I asked if the proposed meds would be ok with my diabetic medication to which he gave me a blank stare . I don’t expect him to remember but I do expect him or any other GP to look at...

For a few weeks now my appetite has become awful . ( I'm type 2 ). Does anyone else struggle like this ?

Had awful trouble with my teeth since becoming diabetic - now facing having lower dentures which has quite depressed me . I think most of the damage was done before I was diagnosed . Any one else had this trouble .

Recently my rosacea has got much worse - ( I had it before I was diagnosed with T2 but not too bad ) could it be a side effect from Metformin ? Does any one else suffer ? Driving me nuts today

Had some bloods done today and she couldn't get any from my usual veins ... ouch ouch so eventually stabbed me on the back of my arm between wrist and elbow - refused to have it taken from back of my hand ! Needless to say I almost went into a heap at one point lol ..

My job has been terminated on grounds of ill health .. to be honest I'm not bothered but on the other hand it proves that working for a large organisation you are sometimes just a number . Ah well their loss not mine .

I pack of sugar free jelly 10 strawberries 1/4 pint of gold top milk Make up jelly to 3/4 of pint allow to cool for ten mins Place jelly ,fruit and milk in blender and whizz up until frothy and fruits liquidised. Place in fridge for two hours . Lovely!

I have been off work for some time and my SSP has run out - I applied for ESA a few weeks ago and it's been turned down for contribution related and I'm not entitled to income related due to husbands work . I am being penalised for working part time between 2015/16 ?! it doesn't make sense ...
