It depends what you have for breakfast I normally have porridge, two slices of toast, a cup of tea and a glass of orange. If I skipped breakfast I would have a hypo.

Svalentine60 I've been on metformin 500mg twice a day for 2 years now plus rosuvastatin and had bad stomach problems. For the past 5 weeks now a new doctor stopped me taking metformin and prescribed me Gliclazide 40mg which I take once a day with evening meals and my stomach feels much better...

I have porridge every morning before I go too work I always microwave the porridge for 2 minutes in a bowl of milk I then add a touch of honey, a little cream and a splash of malt whiskey. I feel great and it keeps me going until lunchtime

Hi Lorraine I certainly agree with you in regards to the GPs,you are better off seeing the nurse they appear to have a lot more time for you
