    Basal test

Lol, have a late lunch min 4 hours before for basal testing. This is so no food and no quick acting in you. That way you know your body is running only on basal. Thats why we do it in time blocks a few days apart, split for morning, afternoon, evening and night. If any food or insulin needed...

    Basal test

When basal testing shouldn't eat anything, even if low carb as body will convert it to sugar. With that said getting to 9.3 and then coming down to normal levels not using a bolus, would suggest basal too high. If you hadn't eaten based on those figures you'd basal would of caused a hypo.

    Night time Q.

Happy to go to bed on a 6. As long as I have not had any qa insulin within the last 4 hours. With qa in me within the last 4 hours like to be 8. If under a couple of biscuits with a decaf coffee before bed, as I always drop a few mmol.

Do I need to bosul for zero carb meal?

Try and see. For me definitely need to bolus for anything I eat. Even if doing activity after I need some bolus in me. Exercise does drop me a lot as long as I have qa insulin on board otherwise it just continually rises. Afterwards I have a setting on my pump to reduce my next bolus by 40%.

    Insulin Correction Factor

As both above, can vary depending on time of day, sugar level _ if above 10 need half as much again on top of what I usually need. Also pending activity needs to be factored in as certain exercise seems to drop me like a stone.

    Type 1 FreeStyle Libre

Day 3 of my trial using it and since day 2 never been out of range from my blood sample by more than 1.5mmol, which I still have to do for driving. Closest was 0.2mmol. Loving the arrow showing which way bloods are going. Very happy with it at the moment.

    Libre sensor

Thanks snapsy, I thought I would have to activate new sensor when put in to adjust. So just put it in without activating and that will give it time to adjust.

    Libre sensor

Thank you, yes, very addictive lol and I can use my phone to scan it to. Very handy I imagine when out and about (not driving). Won't need my lancet, strips, monitor etc. Just impatient to get consistency with my monitor to start using with confidence. If/when I get more sensors worth...

Thank you @WHM. I'm sure I will have lots of questions in the new year. Met with diabetic nurse and cell novo rep today and decided to wait till feb for new pump. Apparently a newer updated version will be available with 1 change I know of a more responsive hand set. Lucky me will be the...

    Cell novo

Should be starting on the cell novo pump early December. Had app confirmed. Just wondering anyone else using this pump? And how do they get on with it. Previously had accu chek combo but 4 years was up in April this year. Local hospital issues caused a long delay in getting new pump.

    DVLA licence renewal

Certainly is lol. On the plus side it's not asking how many hypos have you had in the last 12 months, and limited it to 2 plus.

    DVLA licence renewal

Just had my renewel. The question asks how many hypos have you had in the last 12 months, with 3 check boxes to tick stating none, one or 2 or more. If you tick none or one skip the next question. If you tick 2 or more, it's the next question which asks you to tick no assistance needed...
