The Cure for Type 2 Diabetes

I have no idea what your link is about as it goes to a linkedin sign in page? I suppose we are all not who we say we are, just names on an internet forum. You know, borofergi, I mean is that your real name, I think most people on the net prefer to remain anonymous. Saves weirdos getting in...

The Cure for Type 2 Diabetes

I'm very pleased to hear you are well read, there are too many people who claim to be many things on the net, qualifications and such like. They really should be checked out as many spout utter rubbish at times. Still, can't stay here 24/7, you will get me confused with someone else! We should...

The Cure for Type 2 Diabetes

Apology accepted. I don't know where you get your information from, as far as I am aware the person you were alluding to was not fat. (6ft and 14 1/2 st I think) I think you and your pals need to check your facts before making crude insults to people on the board. I take it that in 4 minutes...

The Cure for Type 2 Diabetes

Oh dear, I too would rather have lower blood sugar levels than high, however each level has its problems. As for being confrontational, not so, just interested in seeing the facts about what is and isn't a hypo aired on here. If you wish to follow grazers line, who m I to stand in your way...

The Cure for Type 2 Diabetes

chocoholicnomore In an ideal world then yes all diabetics of whatever type would be issued with a meter and test strips especially when newly diagnosed. That's something that many of us here think is essential. There have been rare instances of type 2's requiring hospitalisation, however it is...

The Cure for Type 2 Diabetes

First off it is correct that anybody even a non diabetic can have low blood sugar levels however they may be caused. The non diabetic will usually 'liver dump' at this point and blood sugar levels rise fairly quickly back to normal. A type 2 even on diet only or metformin can also have low blood...

The Cure for Type 2 Diabetes

Hi. Glad to oblige when the question is asked so politely. :D I am a type 2 of over 15 yrs diagnosis, 2 metformin once daily and yes, I have experienced several hypos, as low as 2.3 at one time, mainly due to eating very low carb and also too much exercise sometimes. I do speak from...

Grazer You really are something else. What makes you think I'm boasting when I tell someone my level rarely goes over 7. I will spell it out for you, NOBODY but you is talking about a DANGEROUS hypo, just the use of the word hypo in it's correct context. Something you sadly seem to be having...

The Cure for Type 2 Diabetes

While some of you pontificate, the fact is a hypo or hypoglycaemia is just the medical term for 'low blood sugar.' It does not have to be a medical emergency, nor medication induced. It is STILL a hypo. Get used to the term it has been in use for many years and will no doubt continue to do...

The Cure for Type 2 Diabetes

Frankly, I'm amazed that there are so many supposedly 'sensible' people who seek to ignore the fact that as has been mentioned before '4 is the floor'. This isn't my opinion, its a well established medical fact. Not a figure plucked from thin air. Whoever it was that used to say that before...

The Cure for Type 2 Diabetes

A false hypo is NOT when your levels go below 4 mmol/l, that IS a hypo. We are not talking about how prone anybody is to a hypo, just that they can and do happen and are just as bad at low levels for ANY diabetic and can also cause problems for a non diabetic if we wish to be pedantic about it...

The Cure for Type 2 Diabetes

I asked YOU about YOUR comment, nothing at all to do with anything else. I'm sorry, you made a statement about hypos which is factually incorrect. I asked you questions about what you stated for you to clarify and help others understand better. This you have not done but sought to ignore my...

What you actually said was that "hypo's aren't really an issue." You also stated "aim as low as we like." Those were blanket statements, generalisations which anybody new here could misinterpret and think they weren't important? The forum is read by members and guests alike, who tend to...
