When is best to test the 'spike'?

Thankyou that makes sense. So if there is no 'spike' why would there be an overproduction of insulin? I have had this for many years I am only 22 and not overweight but I keep reading it is a sign of prediabetes hence why I am looking for that spike I guess because it is worrying me.

    Different readings for every finger?

I have not been diagnosed with diabetes. Sometimes when I have checked my blood glucose I have seen figures like 6.1 or 5.9 fasting and then I have gone to check again because that is higher than usual and on the same finger it will then be '3.8' '4.4' '5.4' '5.1' just completly different...

I think i may have RH

Hi, I'm just wondering how their symptoms could be a sign of high blood glucose. From what I know shakiness, diziness, sweating etc. are usually signs your blood glucose is on the lower side than higher?

Does anyone know about ecg tests?

Hi, I had an ECG done and it came back as 'borderline ecg' as there was 'anterolateral T wave abnormality is nonspecific'. I was told my ECG was normal but I'm just wondering what the T wave thing means and is my ecg actually abnormal? Thankyou

Why are my post meal numbers lower than my fasting?

Hi, I do not have diabetes however I have been monitoring my blood sugar levels. My fasting blood sugar this morning was 4.9. I then ate two pieces of brown toast and tested two hours after and my level was 4.4. Isn't your blood sugar supposed to increase? Does this mean something is wrong? Thankyou

    Blood pressure question?

Hi there, I'm unsure if this is related but thought I'd ask anyway. I bought an omron blood pressure monitor that is approved and has 5 star reviews and is used by hospitals and doctors. When I first take my reading the systolic number is about 142 however after sitting for a bit longer and...

    Would this affect HbA1c?

Hi there, I was experiencing flu symptoms/some diabetes symptoms and therefore had my HbA1c and random glucose tested. My A1c was 33 and my random glucose 3.8. I know HbA1c is based on average of the month but I was just wondering if not eating for a few days could have affected this. These flu...
