I am sorry to disagree but I do believe that being overweight and not active was the main factors in myself personally becoming T2 diabetic. Nobody else in my family and I have 7 siblings has diabetes but they are all slimmer and more active than me.

After 10 years of being T2 on various meds none of which worked particularly well. I am starting a Basal-Bolus regime with 50u Lantus and 3 doses of 14u of Novorapid I was just looking for some hints and tips please.

I used to have the same problem when I first started injecting and metioned it to my nurse and she told me not to grip the fat/flesh as hard as it brings the blood vessels to the surface. I have tried it and it seems to work worth a try?

Thanks Daibell yes I am overweight and don't low carb at the moment as DN and Dietitian keep telling me I need carbs while I am on Insulin and Gliclazide. I would like to start but fear hypo and am fairly useless when it comes to meal planning. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the advice Noblehead but I am in fact a type 2 have been for 10 years but control has gotten away from me lately. I haven't heard of Tresiba but if it is in the same group of meds as Victoza and Linagliptin I have tried them and they made me ill.Lantus might be worth a try though.

I was recently put on Levemir by my consultant @8u daily but it didn't seem to change my readings.He then upped it to 12u daily and my levels went up not down now he has put me on 16u daily and I am a bit worried it might go up even more. Has anybody else had this happen to them and if so what...

I was wondering if anyone else out there has ever had a feeling of rage for no apparent reason? I have found I am having a really low mood then I tend to be snappy and irritable to everyone,is this normal or just my own problem?
