Unable to connect pump to phone

So I've just got my Dana RS, and my android phone (Nexus 5X), just won't find the pump in the AnyDANA-A app. It can't find the pump in AndroidAPS either. My iPhone on the other hand can connect to the pump and works with AnyDana-i. I've tried disconnecting the pump from that app and the whole...

    Pre Pump Basal

Okay, thank you everyone. I'm on Lantus but I'm on quite high doses. I won't skip it completely but I'll definitely hope it and hopefully overnight goes okay.

    Pre Pump Basal

So, I'm starting my pump tomorrow, and am I correct in saying that I half my basal dose? If so, what's the best way to cope with the rising blood sugars between injecting and being put on the pump. Do you just wake up in the night to inject some rapid acting to bring you back down or what?

    Type 1 Frio Wallet Issue

Hi all, thanks for the replies. @Juicyj, it's been a month since I've bought it so Amazons refund window is closed? Is it still worth trying? @helensaramay, it's not dry unfortunately, I use it all the time so not convenient to dry out. @dancer, this didn't work for me :/ @kev-w, this might...

    Type 1 Frio Wallet Issue

So, I bought a Frio wallet about a month ago, and now all of the crystals are on one side of the wallet, meaning that the other side dries out way before, and so it doesn't cool from both sides. A very small complaint I know, but I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to move some of the...

    CGM Artist Competition (Concept)

A few weeks ago, I had an idea. Wouldn't it be cool if there was a competition where a group of type 1 diabetics wearing CGMs had to create the best piece of art using the CGM trace. At their disposal would be a variety of food and drink with differing glycemic indices and total carbs, and a...

FreeStyle Libre problems - skin reactions and inconsistent readings

For everyone in this thread who used Compeed, how did it go, do you till use it and what prep do you do? For example, do you warm the Compeed up and fire through, do you use alcohol or not?

    Yellow Discharge from Libre

Has anyone ever seen a weird yellow discharge from the Libre when using Cavilon spray? I don't think it's infected because it doesn't hurt or smell, and the Libre readings are the same as usual. Anyone have any experience with this?

    Asking for someone else (honestly!)

Try buying just one freestyle Libre sensor to use for a fortnight to see what exactly is happening. It will open both of your eyes as to what is happening. Also, just checking, is he 100% certain be is type 1? The sensitivity to insulin and blood sugars not reaching over 18 after huge...

    Asking for someone else (honestly!)

Does he dose before food? He might have digestive issues and need to dose afterwards?

    Libre Sensor Allergic Reaction

That's a shame... I always wonder if Dexcom will be much different, will my skin agree with the adhesive. Will it be more accurate? All I can say is I hope more companies hop on the CGM bandwagon, therefore bringing the price down and forcing them to improve drastically, more features etc...

    Libre Sensor Allergic Reaction

Gonna reopen this thread. I have become unfortunate enough to have reactions to the Libre adhesive. Abbott of course claiming that I've just become allergic to it and some people do. However I've seen huge influx of people in March 2018 who have been using the Libre from anything between their...

    Nervous about Nephropathy

High blood sugars for short periods of time are fine. With an A1c of 6.6, you really don't have much to worry about at all. And you have so long to bring that down further before it even has the possibility of causing problems. Keep up what you're doing and you'll be fine :)

    Freestyle Libre Reaction and Prevention

So, unfortunately, my skin has finaly fallen victim to allergic reactions to the Libre adhesive. Four months in. Some tell me I've just developed this allergy, but I, and many others reckon Abbott change their adhesive regularly due to allergic reactions, but nothing will ever work for everyone...

How long were you on fixed doses for?

If you know what you're doing and the effect it has, your DSN really shouldn't stop you. Just do what you feel is right and the results should prove that to your DSN.

How long were you on fixed doses for?

I started carb counting within a week or so of being diagnosed. Being on fixed doses made no sense to me, especially because I have a very carb heavy diet, and it varies from meal to meal. At first I upped my own fixed doses a little after having very high blood sugars. After a few more days I...
