Bit of a rollercoaster retinopathy week

Last Thursday I was at the hospital for my 3 monthly check up and the good news was no new blood vessels on the retinas ... unfortunately though my case notes were no where to be found so the results of the scans (fluorescein angiogram and 1 other I can't remember the name) I had done in June...

What can I expect after a session of panretinal laser?

Just reading that central blurriness may persist for 1 or 2 months after and needless to say this worries me. As if poor peripheral vision and night vision aren't bad enough but not this as well :(

    Continuing Experiences In Visualisation

Some of you may remember I'm spending 2 hours per day visualising a cure for my retinopathy and hoping that something of that will leak through to reality . What I've noticed is the more you do this the more it starts to have a will of it's own and hopefully this is the subconcious...

Don't eat until 3 hours after waking?

Found this on another site ... not really sure what to make of it? I have educated myself now... You should not exercise in the am (wait 3 hours till after rising) The BG goes up because you have "wake up" chemicals in your body (adrenline, etc.) and the night or sleep chemicals have been...

    laser question

I'm not really very sure what this means "it usually takes about three to four months before the results of treatment become apparent" ... does it mean any improvement in vision after the treatment can take months? http://www.diabetes.org.uk/Guide-to-dia ... t/?print=2

I'm thinking of giving up metformin

I've been on it for 6 weeks now and just haven't felt well almost since the beginning . What's more as the time has gone on I've just continued to get worse with a light head and dicky stomach an almost constant companion now. I told my doctor before that I was having problems with...

    Metformin is doing its job

Switherning whether or not to post this but I have had a bit of a blow out sugary foodwise today because it's my birthday and it seems that my BS hasn't been too bad (well, under 10). TBH it wasn't only because it's my birthday but because I've been freeling really unwell and tired recently and...

What is the best fast food to eat?

Ok it's probably best not eating any of them but if you had to eat one for health which would you choose? I think a shish kebab because it would seem to be pretty wholesome meat and a lot of non sugary salad. The only problem may be the pita bread but that's a pretty small fraction of the whole
