What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Ooh that would have been a lot of garlic on its own. I wouldn’t have dared go to the hairdresser afterwards! It was 1 whole roast garlic bulb squeezed out into 1 cooked ( steamed florets) cauli, and whizzed up with a stick blender and butter. It was so good. Even Paul loved it and he claims to...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Eggs on avocado on l/c toast for breakfast. @Antje77 agree with you about that feeling of having nailed the egg timing. ( tbh I consider it a win if I’ve managed to stay in the kitchen and not wander off and forget them til they explode) H/m yoghurt and seeds for lunch. Dinner was roast leg...

So sorry to hear of the loss of your friend @MommaE . Unexpected deaths are always so hard to come to terms with. @RosemaryJackson I hope you’ll start to feel better soon. @jpscloud I love the sound of your harissa pork mince. Do you have a recipe or was it just a ‘bung it in and hope for the...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Thank you. I’d no idea it was a patented trade name. In fact I’d no idea it was possible to patent a vegetable. I love early and purple sprouting broccoli but you’re right, they are hard to find outside a market. I do sometimes buy the tenderstem, and like it, but it’s not worth the extra money...

B- soft boiled eggs and lc soldiers. L- a pretty salad of things that needed eating up. H/m yoghurt, blueberries and seeds. D- Pressure cooker beef stroganoff, sauteed courgette ribbons. Couple of glasses of 0 sugar Shiraz (14% ABV so not for the faint hearted, but great accompaniment to the meal)

I remember seeing your original reply about tenderstem broccoli and I meant to look into it later. I thought tenderstem was just traditional broccoli crossed with kale which sounds ok. Would you mind reiterating please?

Congrats on your blood results @shelley262 and good luck with the inevitable statin discussion. Re Freshwell app I recommended it a couple of years ago to an old college friend. She lives in S Africa and has told a lot of people out there ( adding that is run by UK NHS doctors) and says so many...

@Outlier I am reeeejoicing with you - Great fasting achievement! I only managed to fast until 12:30 ( and even that’s a struggle). My lunch was the rest of M&S smoked salmon &cream cheese in lettuce boats. Plus a DGF roll filled with egg mayo and sprouted cress Dinner - low carb co pizza...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Thank you, it was very enjoyable. My husband doesn’t eat this way ( I’ve tried to persuade him but to no avail) so his burger was in a bun with chips - looked very beige and unappetising to my mind.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

1 black coffee, glass of goat milk kefir and cups of tea with lactofree milk saw me through a busy morning. L- organic little gem lettuce ‘boats’ filled with M&S smoked salmon and cream cheese deli filler, topped with avocado, red pepper and a sprinkling of sprouted cress leaves. Chocolate chia...

Glad you’re on the mend. I’m also addicted to buttery swede. I usually use a stick blender ( and half a ton of butter) to make more of a puree. It’s so moreish.

I’m keenly awaiting my delivery of all those things! I’d tried the pizza bases before when I was searching all the different suppliers for the lowest carb with ‘proper’ ingredients. I was really impressed.

B- scrambled eggs L-handful of almonds. Ham and mustard in L/C roll from Low Carb Food Co. @Rachox I think you’re right - these are definitely the most ‘bready’ of all the low carb bread I’ve tried. I’m going to cancel my SRSLY subscription. The pizza bases are great too aren’t they? D- Pork...

Goodness what a nightmare. Full marks to you for sticking to your water fast, I’d definitely have caved in and taken a flask of coffee. It’s excellent news about the change in attitude to LC from the D/N, it’s been a long time coming but hopefully this signifies a more enlightened approach.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

B-soft boiled eggs and DGF roll D-roast leg of lamb, buttered cabbage, green beans and cauliflower cheese. Daughters brought champagne with them so I also had rather too much of that.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Thanks. I do have Psyllium husk ( not the one that turns purple!) and oat fibre in my cupboard, but they are probably stale by now. Like you I tend not to do much l/c baking. I’ll stick to the plain egg&cheese chaffle mixture I think.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

B-chaffle, bacon and fried egg. This chaffle recipe had egg, mayo and almond flour it was ok but I don’t like it as much as the egg&cheese recipe. @shelley262 I know you used to make chaffles, what was your favourite recipe? Anyone else make them? L- h/m yoghurt with blueberries and seeds. More...
