    tandem tslim pre pump training

I actually find now (been a good few years) that when I move I move the pump with me, so if I turn over in my sleep I seem to pick up the pump and take it with me. I sleep on a memory foam mattress so pump tends to not cause digging in issues.

I leave mine loose in bed with me, used to hag it around my neck in yrs past. I turn off the lost connection alarm at night time.

    Adhesive trouble swimming laps

Hope it works for you, please remember to use something like lift plus to remove it otherwise you will get very sore skin.

    Adhesive trouble swimming laps

I'd heard someone mentioned (somewhere) that you can get Skin Tac on prescription, I've not seen that yet and been buying mine for 10+ years. But ..... Lift Plus is definitely available from your GP on prescription.

I put skin tac on my skin before I put the sensor on - you apply with either brush (if you use bottle) or a wipe, let it dry for 30 secs then put sensor onto it. Use Lift Plus to remove excess taking care not to wipe the sensor. I've never needed to use covers.

    Adhesive trouble swimming laps

I use Skin Tac to hold my Dexcom's in place then Lift Plus to remove them, been doing this for likely 12 yrs or more. I the old days I'd keep Dexcom in place for a month with Skin Tac, swimming, showering etc.

Does anyone prefer MDI over pump?

It took me 10 years to overcome the fears, internal issues of having something connected to me. I only wish I knew then what I know now and I would not have wasted those 10 yrs saying no to a pump. I've been looping for 4 years and prior to that standard pumping for 8 yrs its the best thing I...

    Anyone using CamAPX FX

The latest info claims CamAPS FX will be IOS compatible in March 2024, but it has been two years since it was last promised in 2022. This site provides a good level of info too https://theglucoseneverlies.com/automated-insulin-delivery-systems-aids/

    Tandem t slim pump

@steveo4 I'd got myself in a bit of a pickle with correction factors and insulin to carb ratio's on my t:slim. So this past autumn I went back to basics and reset my correction factor using the 100 rule and Insulin to Carb Ratio using the 500 rule. Correction factor - divide 100 by your total...

    Dexcom 6

This works with the DexCom, but no idea for Omnipod 5. Android users can build their own app, which bypasses the "check for supported phone" stuff. I've not used it as I'm Apple but others have for Dexcom...

Great advice already, all I would add is make use of all the basal profile time settings even if for now they are identical. I find its best to use hourly settings for early to mid morning so you can adjust for any dawn settings changes needed, otherwise I use 2 hourly. The t:slim is great and I...

    Tslim Control IQ latest software/G7

I've not had the email yet, hopefully the G7 will directly replace the G6 based upon NHS funding as to them the cost is identical (re - info from Partha Kar). I've seen a number of reports both for and against but then there are lots who have declared issues with the G6 too, but not me.

    Advantages/Disadvantages pump

Wow an HBA1c of 37 is amazing with very few hypo's, I think I hit that in one year, it was very very hard work but now at 39. I've been IDD for 53 yrs, so a few behind you. If you do not have meal time or night time (dawn phenomenon) issues it might be that a pump would cause you more...

Hybrid Closed Loop - high BG management recommendations

We all do but the rate depends upon your settings in your personal profile and how well you are. Aggressive settings can result in faster corrections but then these can result in lower BG's that need sorting. I used to have pretty aggressive settings but recently retuned to the 500 rule...

Wife new to pump and first is super high

@Douggyfresh1 I posted this seperately, its sound advice and HCL pump specific too. https://abcd.care/sites/default/files/resources/HCL-System-Informtation-Leaflet-2023.pdf…

Hybrid Closed Loop - high BG management recommendations

A few have mentioned about correcting with HCL and being told that you should not correct as it can upset the pump's calculations. Here is the guidance from DTN UK, very useful in that it details how to correct when high or unwell...

Wife new to pump and first is super high

Pleased its gone down. I've heard good reports about the CamAPS FX capability with its ability to learn and correct where my t:slim is a fixed algorithm for corrections so has no ability to learn.

Wife new to pump and first is super high

Hi @In Response I use my stomach and arms, but don't use a patch pump (they are larger and take twice the space). I have four horizontal rows on my stomach where each row side can take 14 (side to side), so 14 x 4 is 56. Then my arms can take maybe 8 or so on each so another 16. So overall...
