    Hi, just started testing.

Just for info, I was using a SD Codefree with test strips LOT - S0318084. Members seem not to be confident of the results this metre is providing.

    Hi, just started testing.

HBA1C came back as 36. Blood glucose level on test date came back as 7.5 Retest in a month. Looking OK. The +2 mmol increases after eating and slow dropping still a bit worrying though.

Ah well, I’d the usual experience, given a row for self testing. She did do a blood panel including a HBA1C.

    Hi, just started testing.

Still spiking, with increases well above 2mmol, also reading is slow to drop after meals sometimes, over three hours. Have also had a couple of low 4 mmol results. Doctors appointment tomorrow, so see where I fall on the diabetes scale when I have a result back and I'll update.

    Hi, just started testing.

No gravy and lots of margarine in the potato. If diabetes is diagnosed, a new diet will be required.

    Hi, just started testing.

Pre dinner I've dropped to 4.3. Lowest reading I've had since I started testing yesterday lunch time. I've had plain chicken, no sauce etc., with a smaller portion of mashed potato than I usually have and green beans, carrot. See what happens. A mug of black weak tea. Nothing else.

    Hi, just started testing.

I'll walk up to the surgery tomorrow and tell receptionist what's going on, find talking face to face usually has better response than phoning. :)

    Hi, just started testing.

I was definitely clammy feeling, so bit of a coincidence. I can't put my finger on it but feel different now to what I did an hour ago..

    Hi, just started testing.

Drank a pint of water, have been wandering around the house as the rain is chucking it down. Test four and a half hours after lunch and level has dropped to 5.6. Can level fall this quickly? Have checked my surgery website, a nurse practitioner runs the diabetes clinics, not phoned yet.
