    Diagnosed 26 November 2012

    Well, it's official, Meganne has Type 2 Diabetes. I am getting my new meter from my surgery in the next few days, and am seeing the Diabetes Specialist when she returns to work after getting whooping cough. So, things are moving. I will be visiting this forum regularly methinks :)

    My doctor has at last diagnosed me as having Type 2 Diabetes. I am due to be given my new meter shortly and am due to see the diabetes specialist when she returns to work after getting whooping cough! I will be visiting this forum often methinks. :)

    Using Lancet hurts.

    Thanks for all your input folks! I have found that my main problem was that my hands were too cold! I have bought some hand warmers, and the blood flows even on the lowest setting of the lancet. I am delighted, I no longer have to look away as I stab myself! :lol:

    Thanks paul. I continue to test on all parts of my fingers! I think my main problem is that my hands are so flipping cold all the time! I have invested in some hand warmers. Can't wait for them to arrive now :)

    Thanks for that gaz. I will try the inside of my little finger. I have tried my palms and that hurt a lot. I must say though that I am getting used to it now. I still look away sometimes as I press the dreaded button! :lol:
