    Great progress?!

3 months ago I was diagnosed type 2 with a hba1c of 99 and put on metformin. Just had my 3 month review with my results back of my 2nd hba1c and its now 34. Is this good? I was told I'd probably be in the 70s/80s so I'm quite shocked I'm at 34.

    Metformin and back pain?

I'm on the last few days of taking 1 500mg tablet every evening, moving onto 2 pills per day. I've started experiencing a burning lower back pain, my kidney function upon diagnosis 3 weeks ago was fine. Is it related to metformin?

Woke up middle of the night hungry and a sickly feeling

Hi all Newly diagnosed type 2 and 3rd day in on metamorfin slow release. I also must point out that I've dealt with anxiety for at least 10 years, but could have been undiagnosed diabetes causing it. I'm on a low carb diet, last meal was 6pm and was chicken breast, pickles in rye bread...

    Monitor?

So I was diagnosed 2 days ago with type 2. Hba1c was 99. Put on slow release metformin 500mg and a follow up on the 22nd with my GP. I'm confused why I haven't been told to get or get given a monitor to test my bloods? I thought that would be vital to see anything that's causing spikes/drops...
