Did your GP fail to diagnose diabetes?

I had gestational diabetes with both my sons who are now 21 and 17. I was told it would disappear after i had them and no further follow ups were necessary. Naively I didnt question the medics and carried on obliviously. During the next few year I went to the doctors with bad headaches, very...

    Slow release metformin advice

I have been put on Glucophage - dont know if there is much difference between the brands. I would be interested to hear what the doctor suggests in June. My morning readings are still 7-8 but maybe it takes time to level out after a change in meds.

    Diabetic Retinopathy screening

Dental abcess is this conected to type2 diabetes

I've found it more helpful reading posts on this forum than speaking to the 'medics' as some of them just don't understand what you are going through especially when you are first diagnosed. My initial reaction was PANIC and its taken me a while to settle into what to eat. They also tell you not...

Dental abcess is this conected to type2 diabetes

Hi Maxsmith, I am T2 diagnosed May 2012,so i'm still quite new to it. Before I was diagnosed I had a bad time with a tooth abcess and was told with hindsight it took so long to heal because of my diabetes.I'm not sure if it actually caused it though. :( Hope you feel better soon.
