Changing or setting up a new basal rate

Evening all It might be the warmth we've been having it maybe I just require slightly less insulin for some reason at the moment, so I've been running temps for a while now but it's a bit of a pain to keep doing. So what's the best way to work out your hourly amount to create a reduction, if...

Something with extremely slow release carbs....

Hi all I need some ideas. I desperately need something small ish that will fit in pockets that I can eat and will release carbs slowly for while I'm at work. I usually have to set a temp basal rate (pump user) of - 70% but am having to do less still and still dropping. It's really active my job...

Levels after eating - ratio or something else?

Ok so this isn't every time I eat but on a fair few occasions, I'll eat and test 2 hours later and be at around 12-14. I'll probably be around 7-8 before. Could this be a wrong ratio or rates etc? Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    E-cigs and diabetes

I couldn't see if this has been asked before, and hopefully it's in the right place! I recently (yesterday!) bought one of those electronic cigarette things as there's nothing quite like multiple chest infections and getting rigged up to an ECG like giving you a push.....! Has anyone noticed a...

    Hi new to the forum

Evening all New to this forum, diabetic for three years now. Know very few people with T1 (or T2 for that matter!) and the extra support would be beneficial I think, a problem shared and all that  Currently on a pump "trial" but hopefully will be able to argue to keep it as it is much...
