    insulin pump!

    thanks guys! I was told by my nurse that I would get one as I haven't had a honeymoon period and I find it hard to control. I'm looking forward to it, little nervous thou! one more day of injections now. I'm usually injecting 5-7 times a day, so it will be a huge relief!

    insulin pump!

    hey there :) I'm 17, and was diagnosed in December with type 1... my levels have been kinda hard to control so I'm being put on a pump next week. Does anyone have any advice for the first few days or anything to do with the pump? I'm nervous but more excited, advice would be great! Thank you:)

    Embarrassed at school?

    I've never had anyone say anything (at least not to my face or that I've heard:P ) but I've had a few of my lecturers yell at me for having my meter out, thinking it was a phone... can't believe your teacher said that! get your parents to have a meeting with them, you shouldn't have to put up...

    any 16-18 year olds out there?

    Hey there :) I'm nearly 17, and was diagnosed in December last year... its been tough, as I'm one of only a few in my college, but I dont know who they are. I set up a Facebook page to meet other diabetics in my area which really helped :) going on the pump next week!
