NHS for t1/2 and theories of t1

Can someone explain to me why the NHS has money to provide for a huge increase in type 2 diabetes yet type 1 still needs to be fundraised for? Am I being ignorant? Or is the funding relative to the number of people diagnosed? I'm not being sarcastic; I'm genuinely asking. Also, what are the...

    Heart

Do high bloodsugars correlate with heart problems? e.g. high bp, cardiovascular disease... anything really? Since having better control, my blood pressure has decreased and I'm wondering if the two correlate or if it's to do with a healthier lifestyle.

Needing to control all aspects of my life

    Best ways to keep control

I'm a 16 year old female t1, I've been diabetic from the age of three. My parents raised me with a more free attitude, therefore my hba1c is rarely below 8.5, which is incredibly frustrating. Diabetes and alcohol

The subject is self explanatory really - I'm 15, going to a house party soon and I'm not sure how much I can drink I have moderate control over my diabetes but I don't drink very often (the occasional low % drink, you get the picture) So my question is: How much is it safe for me to drink...

    Dilema!

Hba1c has dropped from 9.6 to 7.2!! This was because my parents and I would consisantly argue about my diabetes, so I asked them not to get involved at all because I felt I could do it better on my own. this was a couple of years ago. My levels prove this. But now they want to become part of it...

I can't control my diabetes at all :(

I'm 15 with type 1 diabetes, (insulin pump) and I can't control my diabetes. My parents are more concerned about...
