    COVID vaccine

Exactly. LOL. "The vaccines are so safe and effective we have had to increase our staff dealing with vaccine compensation claims". More cognitive dissonance for the brainwashed to lap up I guess.

    COVID vaccine

It's not a really a myth. Stats back it up. But I will await your proof that the majority of people with type 1 diabetes are not diagnosed way before aged 50 and this tails off towards the age of 40 (as in a downward curve).

    Extended my extended fast.

Hi. Out of interest did fasting and ketosis help with any of the "neuro and autoimmune issues"? Also, why the 10 day fast (was there any science behind that?) Was that simply a case of needing to get ketone levels up (I looked at your posted numbers and see they only went above 4 on day 10)? It...

    COVID vaccine

Wow. There is not any way of knowing 100% what caused your type 1 diabetes - but there never is. That is where the usual "gaslighting" refrain comes in. For example "I had X amount of covid injections, but got covid X amount of times" - "yeah but it would have been so much worse had you not been...

    Ketones testing.

I guess that is the grey area with insulin dependant diabetics. At what point does any keto diet and or form of fasting become a concern regarding ketone levels? I mean that is the whole point on a keto diet - and if doing a "detox fast-body reset" fast it is my understanding that you NEED to...

Insulin seems to not be doing anything

Just a quick query. Whereabouts in the body are you injecting? Do you change the sites regularly?

    Desperately wanting to travel!

As other have said. It all depends on which country you are going to. Also travelling from place to place is different than teaching abroad (or doing any other job) officially. If doing that one would presume you would have a work contract that could even make you eligible for healthcare in the...

Freestyle Libre 2 sensors worse than before? (failure thread).

A couple of the ones that failed for me also did that. They went into the red zone and displayed "LO" as the meter reading for a number of hours.

    Ketones testing.

Hi. I have never EVER tested for ketones. I am just wondering how many of you guys have (or more specifically do it regularly)? And why? Thinking about buying a ketone meter plus ketone test strips, just to see where I am at - and also to see if IF fasting affects levels and to what degree. Not...

Freestyle Libre 2 sensors worse than before? (failure thread).

I use the dedicated Freestyle 2 reader (and the one I have currently is only 2 months old). Though I tried downloading a couple of Apps to try and get a conked out and still attached sensor working again - the Apps registered the sensor (and how many days it had left) but would not scan and...

When is your bedtime / When do you wake up? Does it affect your bg?

I get dawn phenomenon. A recent diabetes doctor told me it is connected to daylight . . though I have not yet researched this myself. If it was that then a simple case of sleeping in a darker room (preferably with shutters) might help to control the timing of this to some degree.

Freestyle Libre 2 sensors worse than before? (failure thread).

Have these sensors got worse over recent times? Maybe due to poorer manufacturing? I know that a lot can fail (hence why there are generally no quibbles when you phone for a replacement) BUT my last 5 sensors have all failed before time so it seems a bit too much of a coincidence. One after 12...

New evidence shows it's a waste of time.

Wow! That is some serious baloney right there. Straight out of the Science™ playbook (sponsored by big pharma). I will wait for these made up statistics and odds that you speak of. Please post them . . . we will be waiting . . .

New evidence shows it's a waste of time.

I am glad I saw through the BS and decided to wait it out. Type 1, poor-ish control, non mask wearer, non tester (so never had covid), 2 cold wet winters of death survivor (LOL), not worried every time I have a heart flutter ;) I was just having a glance at my 2020 covid posts here when Bojo...

    Freestyle Libre

For those of you guys that are having the sensors fall off. I have a few queries. How are you putting the sensors on, and where? What conditions are you wearing them in - like climate (excessive heat/cold, sweating, etc) activity levels (swimming?). I must say that so far falling off hasn't...

    Covid - non diabetes related.

Oh man. Can someone please try and convince me that I'm not living in Idiocracy? "I put my 4-year old child in the car and had a 60mile spin to test my eyesight brah"

    Shielding letter COVID-19

Asda have saved us, they seem to have more slots than the other supermarkets. Morrisons also have more slots, but as they have gone local rather than delivering from a bigger depot they don't have the same range any more. Tesco and Sainsbury's have been useless. And yes, I was up at midnight...

    Freestyle Libre

Thanks for the responses about the sensor wearing. So far I haven't found any biological reason as to why the sensor should be worn on the back of the upper arm as opposed to anywhere else on the skin. As most probably know, you can inject insulin in different areas of the body (which I don't...

    Covid-19 - 'New Science? (UK)'

I understand that Mr Cummings could have spread the virus from the hot-spot of London 260 miles all the way up to Durham (including any stops) which is bad enough in itself, but I was trying to get to the factual science of what the UK Government is now saying. If they are trying to use the...
