    Saint or sinner

Wow ! I consider myself well and truly told off! I think what the OP and myself are trying to say that Yes, we fall off the wagon sometimes, Yes, we know it's bad, but to suggest that our light hearted posts could make other Diabetics make bad decisions is both unwarranted and somewhat...

I can honestly say never again lol! BS of 22.3 and 5 hours in the Loo...

Just taken my first 500mg of metformin

Hi Tbird, one thing I have found is that if I don't eat a meal but just have my metformin with a snack I get a bit constipated, and if I eat a huge meal it upsets my tummy within two hours, so regular meals and smaller portions and you should be absolutely fine, it's a good drug that works well...

    Tattoo

Hi Beachbag, Yes it's really cute isn't it ? I'm not sure, it's the first one I've had on my hand, but it's very slowly healing, maybe our hands and feet don't like having tattoos , I'm a bit nervous now though as I've been having laser treatment to remove some very unsightly tattoos from my...

    Diagamet XL prolonged release

Hi Alan, I did do a search but it only came up with the costings, the labs and the approval dates, nothing else really about this particular brand, I'm assuming it's the same as the metformin extended release but I thought they were supposed to be easier on the tummy ? Oh well I'll keep going...

    Palpitations

Lol Simon , Best to get checked out for sure but it clearly states in the side effects sheets about chest pain and palpitations ! I'm sure from reading posts on here that some GP's haven't a clue about what they're prescribing . Good Luck Vicki

    Palpitations

Hi Simon, Today I had my dose of Gliclazide reduced from 160mg to 40mg as I was getting really bad chest pain and palpitations, The consultant advised me to take the 40mg in two doses to see how I get on, they really do bring your sugar levels down but the side effects are awful, She also put me...

    hi from a newbie

Hi, Thanks for the advice. I'm reasonably fit and active, have a job with silly o clock hours which means I usually eat on the run . I saw a different dr yesterday and she was as shocked as me at the results. She actually said that she would never have expected that lol ! Mum. Nan and Great Nan...

    hi from a newbie

Hi, I'm a newbie too. Was diagnosed Type 2 one month ago, like you I'm 48 but it was a huge shock for me. A simple chat with the doc about my hrt patches that I've been on for 2 months turned into a blood test fest when I told her about my so called hrt patch side effects ! Poor patches were...
