    Ignorant people!

I sometimes get the "are you gay?" sort of comment when I order a diet drink with people I don't know. The look on their faces when I say "no, I'm diabetic actually" is priceless. Although it is then normally followed up with "how? You aren't fat". Ignorance is bliss! Sent from the Diabetes...

Abdomen vs Thigh vs Tricep Injection sites.

There should be nothing wrong with injecting long acting insulin into your abdomen. Abdomen vs Thigh vs Tricep Injection sites.

A bit off topic, but when diagnosed 8 years ago I was told in no uncertain terms that I can only inject my glargine in my outer thigh and butt. It seems a lot of people on this forum inject long lasting insulin in their abdomen though, so have I been told false information? Thanks for anyone...

    Blisters and feet.

Thanks for the replies, sounds like good advice to me. I just didn't want to cause a fuss over nothing; as I've never had my feet seen before by a podiatrist. I will make an appointment tomorrow and find money for some better fitting trainers I think!

    Blisters and feet.

Hi everyone, I'd like some guidance if possible please. I'll start by giving some background info: I'm 21 years old, T1 for 8 years and consistently have a HBA1C result between 7 and 7.5. Question: Has anyone here experienced dark green/black blisters on their feet from friction caused by...

Lack of sleep needs more insulin?

Yep this also happens to me when I am deprived of sleep. Something to do with all the adrenaline and what not in the body sending our sugars up! Sent from the Diabetes Forum App
