Two months in.. T2 now told only to test twice a week

That's my logic as well... (And I'm very logical!! ;) ) I cook 90% of my meals from scratch... I follow a low gi/gl approach as my wife has pcos (which has similar effects to diabetes in glucose levels)... There are spikes, either from some food changes, or missing some exercise, or stress...

Two months in.. T2 now told only to test twice a week

So... Somewhat confused... My nurse is lovely.. But I'm now being told to only test my bg twice a week... When first diagnosed I was running at 24-28... With tablets, exercise and my food plan she has said although I'm up and down (lowest of 4.7 highest of 17 averaging about 10 over 30days) she...

    Packed Lunches for Holidays

Thanks all so far!!! my last (first) visit to the dietician she said 'you're not getting much in the way of carbs' my BMI is apparently perfect, so she's advising at least 300g (?) of carbs a day.... I'm not quite sure what percentage or amount is considered low carb... I dont want to lose any...

    testing

nope.. no legal requirement as far as they were concerned.... its the old 'should' vs 'must' i.e. you should (sensibly) test before and during a longer journey... but there is no - you 'must' (legal requirement) test before and during a journey... I'm off to cornwall soon.. which is a good few...

    testing

Just spoke to DLVA about this to clear it up... If you are on diet or tablets (as per INF188 document) Be sensible... its a good idea to test before a long trip.. and test during that trip.. keep supplies on hand should you need to manage your levels you do not need to let them know if you...

    testing

I'm fairly newly diagnosed as well.. And also was warned that in time, they wouldn't be doing test strips or lancets on prescription.. Which seems crazy to me.. A condition that needs you to be aware of something (your blood sugar) means you can't have prescription access to the equipment to...
