No - I took them on an empty stomach, it didn’t occur to me that could be it

    Dealing with nausea

I’ve been on 2 in the evening for a couple of years - but today is the first day I’ve taken 2 in the morning too. Surely they can’t make me feel sick already?

    Dealing with nausea

I have just upped my dose of Metformin as of today so it could be that, thanks for that thought and I’ll keep it in mind. But I had a day of thinking I was going to be sick last week- so who knows?!

    Dealing with nausea

When I feel sick I have always nibbled on a plain cracker (usually Ritz). I can’t think of a low carb equivalent - what do you eat when you want to stave off nausea? Please don’t say anything like pork scratchings as I feel sick enough already!

    Another question: food

    Question: fruit

Thanks all Yes, I have them with Fage Greek Yoghurt bulkbiker- the nurse gave me a monitor but when I chased repeat prescriptions for the lancets and strips, was told by the GP that only T1s should use them, that it just makes people worry and that the NHS won’t allow them to be given to T2s...

    Question: fruit

My blood sugar levels have, in the course of a year, lept to “dangerously high” (T2). Carbs have snuck in to my diet so I’m having a kind of spring clean of what I eat. My GP says raspberries are v high carb - especially frozen ones (no prizes for guessing what I take into work for my...

    Testing - should we?

It feels like enough of a battle without having to fight the medical community too!

    Testing - should we?

They said that the strips show nothing and it's impossible to say what meal they relate to. But I've seen the next morning's results if I have rice or pasta. He said it could just as easily be something I ate 2 days previously. It just doesn't sound right.

    Testing - should we?

It's so frustrating. I felt like I'd metaphorically been patted on the head and told not to bother myself WITH MY OWN HEALTH. Think I'll carry on but buy my own. Jack: those are amazing numbers, how did you get them that low? How often do you test? Do you have a blog I could follow?
